Query by geoff_hazel: how do I share my wi-fi laptop internet with the relaxation of the computer systems in my house?
I employed to have a DSL connection to the net, but it is gone away. As it so takes place, from my function I have a laptop computer with a wi-fi card that gets Net from AT&T. The laptop computer also has a wired ethernet connection, which I want to connect to my router. All the other computer systems are connected to the router. How do I setup the laptop so it gives internet to the router so the other computer systems can use the internet accessibility that the laptop computer has?
I’d prefer not to do “web connection sharing” as I have heard it does not play effectively with VPN connections, and I need to have VPN to perform.
I think it has a thing to do with “bridging connections” but I tried that very last night with no good results.
If I knew the IP deal with that was on the hardwire ethernet port, and the DNS servers, I could set up the router, but I can not see how to set or decide individuals at this stage.

1st of all
go to my network areas
on winxp
on the correct bar click on on Set up a new….
maintain heading on subsequent, up coming
until you uncover something that tells you the Group that you belong to. Decide on a name for your group and set up all computers to that group.
So straightforward
